Mitchell Technical College is seeking a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Instructor to join the Mitchell Technical College (MTC) Team the Spring 2026 semester. The position is open until filled.
The instructor will provide hands-on training along with test preparation in areas such as vehicle inspection skills and maneuvers road driving skills and use of technology to meet the requirements to pass the Commercial Drivers License (CDL) test.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum three years over-the-road driving experience.
- Strong knowledge of CDL laws and South Dakota state traffic laws.
- Required to possess a valid SD Class A CDL license with an endorsement in air brake.
- Must be able to demonstrate double clutching.
- Pass a state and federal criminal background check.
Preferred Skills
- Passion for training with a high level of integrity honesty and professionalism.
- Communicate effectively master change work in groups and have strong customer orientation.
- Excellent time management organizational skills and attention to detail are a plus.
