About the position

Become a part of our dynamic team as an intern and develop hands-on expertise in TEM scripting for Electron Microscopy for Materials Science. This exceptional opportunity will involve working innovative projects that harness the potential of data-driven feedback to transform the field of high-resolution transmission electron microscopy.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a team of Application Scientists to explore the application and automation of High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy for Materials Science.
  • Support in creating and implementing advanced algorithms with our TEM scripting software and developing web-based user interface.
  • Conduct extensive testing and evaluation on the microscope to ensure the flawless performance of the developed automation workflow.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative solutions for complex scientific challenges.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to determine customer requirements and successfully implement them into the software.


Job Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science Materials Science Physics or a related field.
  • Programming skills with Python and good understanding of Object Oriented concepts.
  • Strong interest in software development automation testing and data analysis. Experience in JavaScript and / or Electron Microscopy is a plus.
  • Proven ability to work in a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment.
  • Eager and driven to learn and contribute to innovative research projects.
  • Experience in building a graphical user interface is a benefit
  • Experience of optimization is a plus
