Enbridge is looking for an Advisor Environment who will provide environmental planning permitting execution and coordination of environmental inspection activities related to Canadian project work.

Are you interested in a role as anEnvironment Advisor The Advisor would support Environmental projects Canada ranging from projects in BC to Manitoba. (Pipeline tank integrity digs decommissioning renewables or power)

This role requires a broad understanding of environmental principles along with specialized expertise in regulatory permitting processes and mitigation strategies as they pertain to construction planning and execution.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the environmental planning process including the development of environmental assessment reports facilitation of public information sessions acquisition of permits and preparation of cost estimates.

  • Collaborate with federal provincial and local agencies to obtain necessary approvals and ensure environmental compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental permits and conditions during construction and coordinate post-construction compliance requirements.

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal partners and external groups including government agencies Indigenous communities and landowners.

  • Manage the environmental components of multiple projects concurrently including oversight of consultants and adherence to project schedules and budgets.

Who You Are:

  • A degree in an environmental or related field.

  • Familiarity with environmental assessment methodologies and permitting requirements across Canada.

  • Minimum 4 years of environmental experience in pipeline industry or upstream oil and gas sectors.

  • Effective written and oral communication skills focused internally and externally at all levels.

  • Demonstrate strong environmental technical and/or procedural writing skills.

  • Prioritize multiple tasks and work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.

  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships with colleagues from a variety of subject areas levels of the organization and across geographic locations.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment.

  • Fast paced setting

  • Approximately 10% of travel is required
