Lab Technician : 1st Shift (Decatur IL)
- Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
- Shifts Available: 1st shift 7a-3p
- Temporary Contract position with Raise with potential for perm hire with ADM
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check is required.

Raise has partnered with ADM and they are seeking to hire a professional Lab Technician in Decatur IL.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare process and finished product samples
- Perform analytical testing using instrumental and wet chemistry procedures
- Record results using computerized data systems
- Perform daily process monitoring tests throughout the plant as assigned
- Maintain samples of tested product to confirm test results if necessary
- Document results of all testing procedures and promptly notify operations of required adjustments
- Enter and report data using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
- Understand production processes and make recommendations to operators to achieve product quality
- Perform light maintenance and calibration on all ADM laboratory equipment
- Maintain ongoing records of testing results and input data into computer daily
- Maintain adequate supplies for testing procedures and notify supervisor when reordering is needed
- Compare equipment readouts with standards to ensure systems are operating accurately
- Maintain a neat and clean working area wash equipment as required and store equipment properly
- Maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees
- Perform duties safely utilizing approved safety equipment and complete all safety certifications
- Adhere to FDA GMP BATF EPA OSHA and employer standards and guidelines
Education/Training Preferred:
- 2 or more years science degree
Experience Preferred:
- Good attendance history
- Excellent safety record and awareness
- Proficient computer skills for lab instrument operation programs
- Familiarity with Excel and Word
- Experience with lab documentation
- Experience operating standard lab equipment (pH meter balances spectrophotometer)
- Strong math skills for lab testing calculations
- Previous plant experience
