Description
SFE Engineering is looking for a dedicated Building Maintenance Technician to join our team in Flushing. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of buildings and building systems
- Carry out basic plumbing work including drilling holes on steam pipes creating tappings installing air vents and replacing steam traps
- Perform basic concrete and masonry work such as crack repairs brick replacement and minor patching
- Conduct basic inspections and read schematic diagrams and construction drawings
- Ensure all work complies with safety requirements and applicable building regulations
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete maintenance and repair projects efficiently
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests when needed
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment at all times
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Familiarity with hand and power tools is a plus
- Understanding of safety protocols and regulations
