This opportunity is designed to provide students with valuable work experience and the chance to develop crucial skills within our Actuarial team. Participants will have the opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities whilst working on critical projects in Life & General insurance.
The programme will commence on 5 January 2026 and conclude on 9 January 2026 with in-person attendance required at our Cape Town Office.
Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Attend and actively participate in presentations on hot topics within the Actuarial industry.
- Apply theoretical knowledge from your actuarial studies to complete tasks mimicking real-world scenarios that would be performed when starting your career at Deloitte.
- Complete an actuarial project with your peers and prepare a presentation to deliver to actuaries on your final day.
- Utilise advanced mathematical and statistical techniques to solve complex actuarial problems.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all relevant regulatory requirements and company policies.
Qualifications :
This programme is open to students who will be completing their final undergraduate or honours year in Actuarial Science in 2025.
Technical Capabilities

- Basic skills in analysis and report writing
- Experience in drafting of professional presentations and reports for review
- Proficient in MS Office suite
- Basic financial knowledge and understanding
