Our theatre complex comprised of 7 operating suites provides services across many specialties General Surgery Gynaecology ENT Orthopaedics Urology Plastics & Max are seeking a Clinical Nurse (Level 2) in the General specialty stream
Your responsibilities will include:
As a Senior Clinical Nurse Level 2 RN you will assist in the operational management of the General Surgery Specialty within the operating theatres and provide clinical expertise to support the staff and growth of the general specialty.
This will include
identifying staffing training needs of the specialty General
supporting new & experienced staff through preceptorship
organising regular education opportunities working with medical representatives
working with the stores / procurement team in following up on stock & back orders
liaising with surgeons regarding equipment & consumables for cases
working within Sunnybank Perioperative leadership team towards positive outcomes for each patient
advocating for your specialty surgeons & staff
Essential requirements:
Minimum 3 years working within general surgery role as Scrub / Scout
Demonstrated ability to show leadership and the ability to work with a wide range of people in a team environment
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skill
Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve
Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development
Knowledge of infection control principles and practices
Knowledge of ACORN Standards & NHQSS
Exceptional time management and organisational skills
