Position Summary: The Transition Coordinator will work collaboratively with the principalsof alternative sites Student and Family Services social workers the Enrollment CenterSpecial Education and site teams to transition at-risk students.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelors degree in education social services criminal justice or a related field orequivalent relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
Masters degree and current Oklahoma teaching and/or principal certification preferred.

Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in public school administration supervision ora related leadership role.
Experience working with underserved youth or transitional student populationspreferably in a mentoring counseling or educational capacity.

Specialized Knowledge Licenses etc.:
Knowledge of federal and state laws policies and regulations related to transitionalstudents and special populations (e.g. IDEA McKinney-Vento).
Experience designing implementing and evaluating student support programs.
Understanding of trauma-informed care culturally responsive practices and strengths-based approaches.
Strong understanding of community-based supports and wraparound services.
Familiarity with educational models that promote equity inclusion and social justice.

Skills and Abilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders including students familiesschool personnel and community organizations.
Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks andmeet deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
Effective in public speaking group facilitation and professional development delivery.
Skilled in data analysis program evaluation and adaptive planning.
Ability to build and maintain community partnerships; established network within socialservices and/or corporate community is a plus.
Leadership experience in budgeting coordination and marketing of educational orcommunity-based programs.
Flexible self-motivated and creative thinker with problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to work under pressure respond to emergencies and interact with individualsexperiencing emotional distress.
Understanding of the role of social-emotional learning in educational success.
Ability to maintain a consistent schedule and adapt to dynamic school environments.
Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
