ROLE DESCRIPTION

The role of Manager Data Operations located in Jakarta is a key leadership position on the Hospitality Benchmarking Data Operations Team reporting to the Director Data Operations in London. This position leads a team responsible for core data functions including acquisition loading quality assurance processing delivery and client support on data related queries. The Data Operations team works closely with Client Operations and collaborates across Sales Account Management Hospitality Research and Product teams to ensure the effective use of our benchmarking platform.

We are searching for an experienced leader to manage and oversee critical data and support activities within the Data Operations team. The individual has a demonstrated ability to define and oversee implementation of complex technical tools with a focus on maintaining high standards of data and platform quality. The Manager of Data Operations is a positive team leader with an ability to not only get the performance from the team but actively work to develop team members for growth opportunities in the company. This role also contributes to cross-functional initiatives aimed at expanding and enhancing our data capabilities over time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and oversee Data Operations teams responsible for acquiring integrating validating retaining and delivering historical forward-looking and monthly P&L performance datawhile scaling processes to support additional data types as needed.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations Sales and other internal teams to support growth in benchmarking participation and revenue.
  • Provide leadership and subject matter expertise to direct reports on best practices in data management and operational workflows.
  • Respond to and manage data-related requests from clients ensuring high-quality service and timely delivery.
  • Drive team performance by recruiting training scheduling and coaching team members; clearly communicating expectations and monitoring Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
  • Collaborate with the Data Operations Leadership Team to establish departmental vision goals and long-term objectives including but not limited to team OKRs with a primary focus on the Asia Pacific Region.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture through effective leadership mentorship and decision-making.
  • Partner proactively with IT and technology teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance team productivity and customer experience.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management to support departmental and organizational goals.
  • Manage a geographically distributed team across multiple office locations fostering collaboration consistency and high performance across regions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Proven experience in team management with a track record of leading and developing others.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data operations process optimization and project management.
  • Experience collaborating with IT development teams to deliver key applications and enhance operational capabilities.
  • Background in hospitality data entry data management or customer service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly.
  • High adaptability and ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and respond quickly to shifting priorities.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on data accuracy confidentiality and quality.
  • Exceptional attention to detail particularly in data validation and quality assurance.

PREFERRED QUALIFCATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Familiarity with hospitality benchmarking data products processes and client base.
  • In-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry including brands operators owners and revenue management practices.
  • Experience with databases (e.g. SQL) and data visualization tools (e.g. SAP Web Intelligence Power BI Tableau).
  • Strong analytical skills with confidence in handling and interpreting performance data.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities to support project delivery drive innovation and improve operational efficiency.
  • Solid project management capabilities including task prioritization and execution within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent English communication skillsboth verbal and writtenwith the ability to present ideas clearly and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
