Job Summary

What will you do

A day in the life of a Coordinator Foreign Trade Zone at Vans looks a little like this.

As part of Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) Team you will oversee all distribution and inventory management of all VFs FTZs to ensure compliance of FTZ and Customs and Border Patrol regulations. You will work closely with the distribution centers customs compliance and customs brokers to ensure regulations inventory transactions are accurate and to resolve issues that would cause delays.

Lets break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

  • Assist in the preparation and filing of all daily weekly monthly quarterly and annual FTZ forms and reports for CBP and the FTZ ensuring that they are timely complete and accurate.

  • Operate the FTZ inventory control and recordkeeping system. Verify inventory transactions; process and verify FTZ related data.

  • Track and manage receipts by monitoring inbound shipments; prepare in-transit entries (in-bond) and or permit-to-transfers with CBP.

  • Coordination with other departments impacted by imports.

  • Conduct audits of transactions and processes and make recommendations on improvements.

  • Maintain proper record keeping and management reporting (may include weekly financial reports).

Additionally while formal education in a related field is great to have we are most interested in your 02 years of experience and professional achievements.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

  • A Bachelors degree in Business / Supply Chain Logistics or related field.

  • This position entails responsibility for dealing directly with US Customs and Border Protection and its officers and inspectors on a regular basis.

  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills be self-motivated and be capable of working as part of a team or alone.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel required

  • Ability to work in a fast paced yet casual environment

  • Ability to enhance and implement best practices with a mindset toward continuous improvement.

  • Federal background and fingerprinting required.

  • Location requirement: Vans HQ in Costa Mesa California. Hybrid role 3 days in office.

There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.

  • Experience with SAP or other enterprise systems desired.

Hiring Range:

$57024.00 USD - $71280.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan sales incentive orcommissionpotential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
