Job Summary
Executive Logistics
Dipped Products PLC seeks a dynamic results-oriented individual to be recruited asExecutive Logistics to be based at Head office in Colombo.
Job Responsibilities
- Negotiate freight courier and clearance/forwarding rates to ensure competitive pricing in line with current market standards.
- Manage agreements with shipping lines freight forwarders and logistics partners including signing renewal and review of contracts.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across procurement and logistics operations to optimize spend and improve efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all procurement activities ensuring traceability and compliance with company policies.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of goods and services in accordance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand material requirements prioritize logistics needs and provide support in inventory planning.
- Ensure compliance with policies safety regulations and ethical standards in all purchasing and logistics activities.
- Generate reports and analyze procurement data to support decision-making and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Persons Profile
Bachelors degree in Logistics from a recognized University.
Minimum 02 -04 years work experience in Logistics operations preferably imports and exports
Ability to work well in both team-oriented and self-directed environments
Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills to maintain productive supplier and internal relationships.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
Proficiency in MS Office packages.
Experience with Power BI AI tools and working in SAP environment is a definite advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to prioritize tasks manage deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
