Job Summary

Career Readiness Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Career Readiness Program provides structured skills-based workshops designed to equip high school students with the tools needed for postsecondary and workforce success. Students will engage in hands-on sessions covering topics such as resume and cover letter writing interview preparation email etiquette financial literacy and professional presentation.

The Career Readiness Coordinator will support the implementation of this program by managing communication with students coordinating logistics with facilitators and ensuring the smooth execution of all workshop sessions. This position is grant-funded and designed to serve high school students most in need of career pathway support.

WORKING TIMES:

  • November May
  • Approximately 45 hours per week

REMUNERATION:

  • $40/hour total stipend up to a total maximum stipend of $4800

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and distribute flyers and outreach materials to recruit student participants
  • Manage student registration and track ongoing attendance
  • Maintain regular communication with students to ensure consistent participation
  • Coordinate with external facilitators to schedule and support sessions
  • Set up workshop space and ensure materials (folders notebooks pens snacks) are available
  • Support the collection and organization of pre- and post-program surveys
  • Apply culturally responsive communication and inclusive practices
  • Maintain program data and support documentation for reporting

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors Degree in Education Liberal Arts Counseling Workforce Development or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience working with high school students in educational or enrichment settings
  • Organizational skills and ability to coordinate schedules logistics and outreach
  • Comfort using Google Suite and other digital tools for communication and data tracking

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters Degree in Education Counseling or related field
  • 3 years of experience working in youth programming extended learning or workforce readiness
  • Current Everett Public Schools (EPS) employee in good standing
  • Experience working with English Learners and students with disabilities
  • Previous experience in after-school summer learning or youth mentoring programs
  • Coursework in career advising foundational literacy or youth development
