Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY:

Oversees daily operation and flawless execution of events for assigned departments within Parking and Transportation. Oversees Assistant Managers and is responsible for providing daily direction to supervisors hourly and non-exempt staff. Manages all day-to day operation and event operations ensuring high levels of guest service are being met at all times.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages strategizes and forecasts support for daily operation and events. Observes and adjusts exempt and Team Member daily functions as needed to ensure operational effectiveness and safety. Works with supervisors to ensure the areas are appropriately staffed and are operationally ready; adjust staffing to operational changes such as projection changes and call outs. Ensure areas are meeting quality standards and Team Members are providing positive guest service by routinely walking areas.
  • Creates performance standards and policies for Parking and Transportation. Manages assistant managers supervisors SAE supervisors non-exempt and hourly Team Members by providing feedback on performance giving direction on how to handle solve and prevent situations and developing communication decision making and reasoning skills. Ensures high levels of guest service are maintained at all times. Monitors performance of all exempt and hourly Team Members and provides coaching and feedback where necessary to consistently raise employee satisfaction levels within the department including exempt employee satisfaction. Ensures exempt and hourly staff receive proper training and development.
  • Provides support and long-term planning of Parking and Transportation department. Focus on initiatives that boost GSAT TSAT safety revenue generation and savings. Plans and executes special events and charter requests. Looks for ways to improve overall effectiveness of the operation client and guest satisfaction.
  • Builds and maintains strong departmental relationships with other key departments across UO to ensure excellent flow of information and coordination of efforts to maximize performance and effectiveness. This includes but not limited to HR Finance Operations Park Services Event Operations Event Sales Security Tech Services Safety Marketing and Landscaping.
  • Ensures all Parking & Transportation vehicles are maintained and receive scheduled preventive maintenance. Ensures optimal presentation is maintained for all vehicles in meeting guest expectations.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SCOPE:

EDUCATION:

  • High school degree or GED is required.
  • Bachelors degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-7 years of supervisory experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience managing exempt level team members preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS LICENSES REGISTRATIONS:

  • Florida Drivers License is required CDL preferred.

  • Willing to work a flexible schedule with late nights and weekends required.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest commissions and percentages.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Excellent ability to develop others specifically exempt management.
  • Ability to create business case / plans.
