We are currently seeking a General Manager for a key tourist attraction based in Tully Kildare. This position entails overseeing a busy operation that emphasises hospitality events and retail services. The successful candidate will build a dedicated team within a prestigious venue to deliver an exceptional catering operation.
Key Responsibilities to include:
Managing the day-to-day operations of the location including recruiting and selecting employees that meet the needs of the location and BaxterStorey
Assessing employee performance recognising potential and meeting their training needs as appropriate
Achieving financial targets agreed with the client within the budget and monitoring the work of the location team
Holding regular team meetings to communicate targets required standards company and client information
Collaborating with the location Operations Manager to prepare budgets maintain food costs and maximise commercial opportunities
To present to the client as and when directed by your Operations Manager accurate financial information.
Developing and evolving client services at the location regularly making adjustments and improvements as needed
Providing prompt and efficient customer service while consistently exceeding expectations
Monitoring customer feedback and producing an action plan based on the results
Ensuring all food is presented and served in line within BaxterStoreys standards using innovation in the method and style of presentation and food service
Recruiting appropriately skilled employees assessing their performance meeting their training needs including monitoring any poor performance and taking apparated step to rectify
Meeting statutory and company requirements in Health and Safety Food Safety and environmental legislation and procedures.
Qualifications :
Previous experience in events hospitality or high-end dining.
Have a contagious passion for food and customer service
You draw satisfaction from managing training and supporting a team
Financially astute you are very analytical and know how to create and maintain budgets and drive commercial performance
Excellent delegation and influencing skills
Ability to prioritise multiple projects in a fast-paced multi-faceted creative environment and able to work well under pressure
Meticulous organisational abilities; high attention to detail
Concise and effective verbal and written communication
Ability to adapt to challenges and opportunities with a solution-oriented perspective
Excellent strategic thinking and critical reasoning skills
