The Sustainability Manager is responsible for develop implement and manage environmental plans for the Programme. This role is crucial in implementing and managing the Environmental & Sustainability systems.
The role holder will ensure they meet environmental requirements and project specifications. This position requires a collaborative approach to foster a safety-first culture and promote sustainability minimising environmental impact.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement plans to minimize environmental and social impact
- Coordinate with workstreams to review sustainability plans
- Set carbon reduction targets and manage waste disposal
- Conduct life cycle assessments and publish findings
- Ensure compliance with environmental standards and regulatory requirements
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 10 years experience in developing environmental plans
- Proven track record of managing environmental and sustainability plans ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret environmental data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and build strong working relationships both internally and externally.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Expertise in identifying assessing and mitigating risks associated with the project.
