This role is a 12-month engagement working full-time hours.

About the role

As Canvas Community Manager for Germany youll primarily focus on the Creator Community - onboarding inspiring and supporting local designers as they produce high-quality culturally relevant content - while also having the opportunity to support Canvas Education Community to grow teacher engagement and awareness where needed.

Youll connect the dots between creative talent local culture and Canvas tools to drive advocacy creativity and community impact. Community has always been at the heart of Canva fueling all the strong brand loyalty weve built over the years.

What youll be doing

  • Build and manage the Canvas Creator and Education community in Germany fostering growth advocacy engagement and a sense of belonging among contributors.

  • Act as a relationship-builder offering empathetic support detailed guidance and proactive engagement to strengthen creator and educator trust and retention.

  • Define and execute the Germany community strategy aligning with product priorities and cultural moments to drive local impact.

  • Identify and nurture creative talent ensuring creator outputs align with visual trends and Canvas quality standards.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with content marketing SEO education sales and product teams to design and deliver impactful initiatives and campaigns.

  • Craft clear and inclusive communications that inspire inform and engage creators and educators across multiple channels.

  • Create strong feedback loops providing structured actionable feedback to help creators optimize their content and continuously improve over time.

  • Use data and insights to measure community health track content performance and optimize programs for impact.

Youre probably a match if

  • You have a track record of building and scaling thriving creative or contributor communities.

  • You have hands-on experience with community management platforms (e.g. Discord Facebook Groups Circle or similar).

  • You have deep knowledge of the German creative education and cultural landscape with the ability to identify trends and nuture creators to produce culturally relevant content.

  • You have strong event planning facilitation and public speaking skills with a knack for creating inspiring activations online and offline.

  • You are a creative thinker with familiarity in content creation (design short-form video social media campaigns) and a strong grasp of visual and community trends.

  • You have an analytical mindset with the ability to turn creator and content performance data into actionable insights that improve program outcomes.

  • You are a collaborative operator experienced in working cross-functionally with SEO marketing and content teams to align on strategy and drive impact.

  • You are adaptable and proactive skilled at balancing long-term program building with fast-paced short-term campaign execution.

  • You have the ability to balance global strategy and local execution.

  • You are adept at developing and maintaining relationships with partners as well as collaborating with government organizations and agencies.

  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English with an empathetic and inclusive tone.
