Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework. Roles Responsibilities:

  • Planning:

  • Develop and maintain material requirement plans based on production forecasts service needs and inventory targets.

  • Monitor inventory levels and adjust planning parameters to optimize stock availability and minimize excess inventory.

  • Collaborate with production engineering and service teams to align material availability with operational needs.

  • Buying & Inventory Management:

  • Overall ownership of material ordering availability and scheduling targeting 2-week inventory levels at a minimum Oracle and Digital Cockpit expert

  • Execute purchase orders for raw materials components in line with PSI & Service order requirements.

  • Negotiate pricing delivery terms and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.

  • Track order status and expedite deliveries to avoid production delays.

  • Work on NPI Materials planning based on NPI execution timelines to meet organization goals.

  • Manage Phase In / Phase Out (NPI) & minimize obsolete material

  • Rescheduling materials for pull ins (expedites) and push outs (for inventory control)

  • Review parts availability for rolling 3 months & maintain healthy DOH inventory for production purpose.

  • Ensure systemic stock accuracy wrt Physical Part by conducting frequent cycle counts.

  • Supplier Management:

  • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliability and quality.

  • Resolve issues related to Logistics Customs Clearance delivery discrepancies quality concerns and invoice mismatches.

  • Systems & Reporting:

  • Use ERP systems like Oracle ASCP to manage planning and procurement activities.

  • Generate reports on inventory status purchase order tracking and supplier performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in relevant Engineering Streams.

  • 35 years of experience in materials planning and procurement preferably in a manufacturing or healthcare technology environment.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong communication negotiation and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and inventory optimization principles is a plus.

  • APICS Certification & Green Belt Certification
