Role Summery

We are seeking a highly skilled API Integration Architect with deep hands-on experience in designing implementing and troubleshooting complex integration ecosystems. This role requires strong technical leadership combined with practical expertise in middleware platforms API frameworks and healthcare interoperability standards. The ideal candidate will architect robust scalable solutions while actively engaging in development and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and Implement Integration Solutions
  • Design and develop API-driven integrations across multiple systems.
  • Create interface architecture for healthcare workflows (HL7 FHIR EMR/EHR).
  • Establish failure handling strategies retry mechanisms and resilience patterns.
• Hands-On Development & Troubleshooting
  • Build and maintain integrations using Boomi Oracle Middleware Azure API Management and other platforms.
  • Debug complex issues in API calls message queues and middleware processes.
  • Optimize performance for high-volume HL7 transactions.
• Middleware & Messaging
  • Implement message queue listeners (RabbitMQ ActiveMQ Kafka).
  • Configure Boomi processes for transaction metrics and alerting.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and vendor systems securely.
• Security & Compliance
  • Implement authentication (OAuth2 SFTP) and encryption standards.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA).
• Monitoring & Governance
  • Develop dashboards for SLA tracking and error monitoring.
  • Maintain documentation (Interface Control Documents architecture diagrams).
  • Establish governance for versioning and change control.
• Architecture Roadmap Vision
  • Establish integration principles and middleware baseline.
  • Implement resilience (retry failure handling) and monitoring.
  • Scale with event-driven architecture and optimize performance.
  • Formalize governance and continuous improvement.
• Agile Delivery & Collaboration
  • Work in Agile/Scrum environment with sprint planning and backlog grooming.
  • Conduct demos and sprint reviews for stakeholders.
  • Use Jira for issue tracking reporting and workflow management.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across engineering product and business teams.
  • Team Management(Good to have) Delivery monitoring guiding junior team members.

Required Technical Competencies

• HL7 FHIR MLLP protocols.
• Middleware platforms: Oracle SOA Suite / Oracle Integration Cloud Boomi Azure API Management.
• REST/SOAP API design and troubleshooting.
• Interface architecture design with resilience patterns.
• Messaging systems: RabbitMQ ActiveMQ Kafka.
• Monitoring tools: Splunk ELK Prometheus.
• Programming: Java Groovy Python.
• Security: OAuth2 SFTP HIPAA compliance.
• Agile methodology and Jira proficiency.
• Strong stakeholder communication and presentation skills.
• Cross functional collaboration and ability to lead the delivery of integration program.
• Delivery roadmap aligning with overall company strategies.
