Key Responsibilities

As a Class Teacher and EYFS Leader you will:

  • Lead and manage the EYFS team ensuring high standards of care and education for all pupils.
  • Develop and implement engaging and effective learning experiences that meet the needs of all children in the EYFS.
  • Monitor and assess childrens progress and development using this information to inform planning and support.
  • Foster strong relationships with children families and colleagues to create a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
  • Encourage a culture of inclusion ensuring that all children feel valued and respected.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to develop and implement the EYFS curriculum in line with statutory requirements.
  • Support the transition of children from EYFS to Key Stage 1 ensuring continuity in learning.


What Were Looking For

We are seeking a qualified and passionate practitioner who:

  • Holds a relevant teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) and has experience in Early Years education.
  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and its application in practice.
  • Has high expectations for all children and a commitment to promoting positive outcomes.
  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with children families and staff.
  • Is creative enthusiastic and able to inspire a love for learning in young children.
  • Embraces diversity and promotes inclusive practices within the classroom.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 meaning that all convictions cautions and warnings (including those that are spent) must be disclosed. However the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975 (& 2023) provide that certain spent convictions and cautions are protected and are not subject to disclosure to employers and cannot be taken into account.
