About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Officer to join our highly successful Finance team in Sydney. Please note that we will also consider applications from Melbourne or Brisbane.

The Accounts Receivable Officer will manage and oversee the firms receivables ensuring accurate and timely collection of outstanding invoices. This role requires strong attention to detail excellent organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Accurately process and record all incoming payments daily
  • Regularly review and reconcile client accounts to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between client records and internal accounts
  • Proactively manage and follow up on aged debtor accounts to recover outstanding debts
  • Respondpromptly to client queries

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Formal accounting qualifications
  • Experience in professional services (ideally legal/IP)
  • Solid understanding of accounts payable and receivable functions (minimum 2 - 3 years experience)
  • Exposure to multi-currency transactions
  • Competence with computerised systems including Teams Excel and Outlook

It is desirable for candidate to have:

  • Inprotech & MYOB experience
  • Experience of monitoring unbilled disbursement and recoveries balances
