Job Summary
Accounting Specialist
Location: Raleigh NC 27617
Essential Job Functions:
- Record and maintain General Ledger Accounts with diligence and attention to detail.
- Approach process improvements with an automation mindset and innovative solutions.
- Review a high volume of transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Take a proactive approach to recording bills while adhering to internal controls and procedures.
- Compile Accounts Receivable monthly statements.
- Utilize an analytical mindset in approaching financial reviews.
- Update process documentation for accounting procedures and understand transactional workflows to ensure data integrity.
- Assist in monthly quarterly and annual financial and tax processes including the annual financial review.
- Contribute to the annual budget preparation.
- Participate in accounting tax and business projects as needed.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers positively and professionally.
- Follow safe work practices at all times.
Requirements of Work:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or a relevant field.
- At least 2 years of experience in an accounting role.
- Intermediate level proficiency in Excel and strong competency in the MS Office Suite.
- Sound decision-making skills regarding reconciliation discrepancies.
- Proficiency in QBO (QuickBooks Online)
- Excellent organizational time management and communication skills.
- Strong computer skills and understanding of databases.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a customer-focused attitude.
- A passionate curiosity and desire to learn.
- Ability to work independently and interact effectively with team members and clients.
