The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated People & Culture Advisor to join our Victorian team reporting directly to the General Manager VIC. This is a hands-on generalist role partnering closely with our Branch Managers and field teams to deliver practical people solutions across recruitment performance training and engagement. Youll be the go-to for all things people and culture across our Victorian operations supporting our branches to deliver exceptional outcomes and a positive employee experience.

About You

Youre proactive and solutions-focused with a genuine passion for people. Youre comfortable rolling your sleeves up spending time on-site and building trusted relationships across all levels of the business.

Youll bring:

• Experience in a People & Culture/HR Advisor role or equivalent (construction trades or field-based industries advantageous)
• Experience overseeing a casualised workforce (advantageous)
• Experience in recruitment onboarding and offboarding
• Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practice
• Confidence to coach leaders through performance and employee relations matters
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Experience with HRIS systems and reporting (BambooHR or similar)
• Experience operating successfully autonomously/ in a small team environment
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Branch Managers to deliver people initiatives and provide advice on recruitment performance and retention
• Support the employee lifecycle including onboarding offboarding and engagement programs
• Drive culture and recognition initiatives that align with Buildsafes values
• Manage employee relations matters with professionalism and confidentiality
• Coordinate training and development programs in partnership with our National P&C Team
• Ensure compliance across policies awards and employment legislation
• Assist with HR reporting data audits and workforce planning metrics
  

The Details

Location: Keysborough VIC (travel to branches required ad hoc)
Hours: MondayFriday 7:30am4:00pm (occasional early starts for toolbox talks)
Travel: Required across VIC branches
Reports to: General Manager VIC
