Job Summary

Research Assistant I/II in the HKU Stroke Division of Neurology Department of Medicine School of Clinical Medicine(Ref.:533562)

HKU Stroke is at the forefront of stroke research and is currently actively engaged in a large range of projects relating to stroke prevention and management. Current projects include novel stroke trials; hospital-based registries advanced neuroimaging techniques and blood-based biomarkers to predict outcomes and facilitate personalised medicine; and use of digital health platforms and artificial intelligence in details of current projects and activities can be found at HKU Strokes website at .

Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will work with a vibrant multidisciplinary team including health care professionals statisticians and data scientists to

  • Coordinate a range of clinical research studies
  • Conduct data collection entry organization and analysis
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • A bachelors degree in Health Sciences Social Sciences Psychology Medical Statistics or a related discipline with solid research and problem-solving skills
  • A strong command of written English and be fluent in both spoken Cantonese and English
  • Self-driven creative responsible ethical self-motivated and detail-minded
  • Able to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team
  • Applicants with less work experience may be considered for the role of Research Assistant II

What We Offer

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. Training opportunities relating to medical statistics neuroimaging interpretation vascular assessments cognitive assessments laboratory techniques etc. will be provided where necessary.
