Electrical Maintenance Technician

The Opportunity

Our Lysaght business is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join the Emu Plains team. Made in Australia since 1921 Lysaght manufactures and markets steel building products that have helped shape the nation: from iconic corrugated roofing over Australian homes to large commercial and industrial projects.

Youll have the opportunity to manage projects across other branches within the region. You will be working to complete scheduled maintenance and will also be required for call outs after hours/weekend and shutdown hours. Shift will be day shift (6:00am 2:30pm) Overtime is available and this position will be eligible for our bonus scheme as well as 14% Super.

What Will You Do

In a role that impacts the safety of our people as well as the quality and reliability of our equipment and products you will be the first and main point of contact when it comes to equipment and maintenance.

You will be:

• ensuring stoppages performance issues or breakdowns are rectified in a safe and timely manner.
• Assembling install test commission and maintain electrical or electronic wiring equipment appliances and machinery using hand and power tools.
• Diagnosing faulty systems and components using test equipment to identify the cause of issues and implement repairs.
• Inspecting electrical systems and components to detect hazards defects and necessary adjustments or repairs ensuring adherence to safety codes.
