Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Production Supervisor to join our manufacturing team in Middleton United States. The ideal candidate will lead daily production operations across multiple stages of the manufacturing processincluding reagent preparation enzyme production competent cell manufacturing dispensing and assemblyensuring operational efficiency adherence to quality and safety standards and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage and coordinate daily production activities to meet output targets and quality standards
- Supervise train and mentor a team of production workers fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles to optimize production processes and reduce waste
- Monitor and analyze production metrics identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout the production floor
- Collaborate with other departments such as quality control maintenance and supply chain to streamline operations
- Develop and maintain production schedules coordinating with supply chain to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and initiatives to enhance overall production efficiency
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in relevant life sciences field (molecular biology microbiology biochemistry biotechnology)or equivalent combination of applicable education and relevant work experience
- Progressive experience in a manufacturing or operations capacity producing reagents or other biological products within a life science manufacturing organization.
- Proven success managing and developing business staff with the demonstrated ability to effectively lead and manage a team in a dynamic working environment
- Proven track record participating on or leading cross-functional project teams meeting organizational objectives and deliverables
- Demonstrated experience with the implementation of new processes that improve the quality efficiency and profitability of manufacturing operations
- Prior working experience within a quality management system (QMS) and the associated organizational functions
- Proficient computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products particularly Word Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven knowledge of purification principles including familiarity with solution preparation column preparation plasmid creation e. coli cell transformation e. coli cell culture homogenization precipitation chromatography NGS applications and/or formulation processes
