The Technical Assistant is fully accountable for the following key activities:
- Strategic Advisory: Provide research-based insights technical analysis and recommendations to support the MDs strategic decisions.
- Operational Coordination: Monitor execution of strategic initiatives align departmental goals and ensure timely delivery of reports and projects.
- Research & Analysis: Conduct industry research analyze performance data and present actionable insights for business improvement.
- Communication & Representation: Prepare briefs presentations and reports; represent the MD in meetings; and manage stakeholder communications.
- Project Management: Lead and track strategic projects ensuring effective implementation accountability and alignment with corporate objectives.
- Administrative Support: Oversee day-to-day administrative operations of the MDs office including document management meeting coordination task tracking and follow-up on action items to ensure efficiency and effective workflow.
Specific Certification Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelors Degree in Economics Finance Accounting Business Administration Actuarial Science or a related field.
- Masters Degree or relevant professional certification (CFA CIPM ACA or similar) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 47 years relevant experience in the financial services or pensions industry with at least 2 years in an advisory strategy or analytical role.
- Strong understanding of the pensions regulatory environment (e.g. PENCOM regulations) and investment management principles
