Job Summary

The Technical Assistant is fully accountable for the following key activities:

  • Strategic Advisory: Provide research-based insights technical analysis and recommendations to support the MDs strategic decisions.
  • Operational Coordination: Monitor execution of strategic initiatives align departmental goals and ensure timely delivery of reports and projects.
  • Research & Analysis: Conduct industry research analyze performance data and present actionable insights for business improvement.
  • Communication & Representation: Prepare briefs presentations and reports; represent the MD in meetings; and manage stakeholder communications.
  • Project Management: Lead and track strategic projects ensuring effective implementation accountability and alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Administrative Support: Oversee day-to-day administrative operations of the MDs office including document management meeting coordination task tracking and follow-up on action items to ensure efficiency and effective workflow.


Specific Certification Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelors Degree in Economics Finance Accounting Business Administration Actuarial Science or a related field.
  • Masters Degree or relevant professional certification (CFA CIPM ACA or similar) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 47 years relevant experience in the financial services or pensions industry with at least 2 years in an advisory strategy or analytical role.
  • Strong understanding of the pensions regulatory environment (e.g. PENCOM regulations) and investment management principles

  • In-depth knowledge of pension fund operations investment portfolios and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel Power BI etc.).
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • High emotional intelligence and confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Self-driven proactive and able to work under pressure.
