Location: Asheville NC 28801

Job Type: Permanent

Shift: 8-hr Evening 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)

Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sterile Processing Manager to oversee the sterile processing department. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient workflow adherence to infection control standards and the proper sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment. This role requires strong leadership skills technical expertise and the ability to maintain a high standard of patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily operations of the sterile processing department.
Supervise mentor and train staff to ensure compliance with established protocols.
Maintain high standards for instrument decontamination sterilization and storage.
Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques infection control standards and safety regulations.
Collaborate with the operating room and other clinical departments to support surgical services.
Monitor inventory maintain equipment and coordinate maintenance or repair needs.
Operate department computer systems and maintain accurate records.
Develop and implement process improvements to optimize departmental efficiency.
Handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

Required Education:

Two-Year Surgical Technology Course OR CRCST/CSPDT Certification

Preferred Education:

Associates or Bachelors Degree

Required Licenses/Certifications:

CSPDT or IAHCSMM Certification

Required Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of Sterile Processing experience with appropriate certification.
Minimum of 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Proficient in operating room instrumentation and equipment.

Skills:

Strong supervisory and communication skills.
Strong technical skills.
Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail.
Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control standards.
