Social Worker (Contract Role)
Location: Atlanta GA 30342
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekly Pay Rate: $1800 - $1980; (Negotiable based on experience)
Schedule:
- Thursday: 5:30 PM 8:00 AM
- Friday: 5:30 PM 6:00 AM
- Saturday: 6:00 PM 6:00 AM
Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Social Worker to join our healthcare team on a 13-week contract assignment in Atlanta GA. The ideal candidate will provide professional social work services in an Emergency Department/Acute Care setting assisting patients and families with psychosocial needs care coordination and discharge planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical social work services to patients and families in the Emergency Department or inpatient acute care units.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop intervention plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient care and discharge planning.
- Offer crisis intervention counseling and resource referrals to patients and families.
- Advocate for patients needs and ensure continuity of care post-discharge.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC (Electronic Medical Record system).
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies state and federal regulations and ethical standards of social work practice.
Requirements (All Required):
- Licensure:
- Active GA LCSW or Multi-State LCSW required.
- Will consider candidates with GA LMSW licensure.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical social work experience in a hospital acute care or emergency department setting.
- Certification:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in EPIC EMR system required.
- Strong communication critical thinking and crisis management skills.
- Preferred Experience: Pediatric or family-centered care experience is a plus.
