Position Overview
The US Payroll Processing Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and managing the
payroll processing team to ensure accurate and timely payroll services. This role involves coordinating payroll activities resolving payroll issues and ensuring compliance with federal state and local payroll regulations. Should be responsible to coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders on behalf of the team. Candidate should have minimum 8 years of
relevant experience with managing 5 to 10 members team. (Shift timing – US Shift 5:30PM to 3:30AM IST)

Key Responsibilities
Team Management
Lead mentor and supervise the payroll processing team.
Assign tasks and projects to team members ensuring timely completion.
Conduct regular team meetings to discuss updates issues and improvements.
Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
Payroll Processing
Oversee the end-to-end payroll processing for all US-based employees.
Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time.
Review and verify payroll data including timesheets deductions and earnings.
Manage payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
Compliance and Reporting
Ensure compliance with federal state and local payroll laws and regulations.
Prepare and submit payroll reports to relevant authorities.
Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations and implement necessary adjustments.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with other departments to streamline payroll-related processes.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance accounting or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in payroll processing with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of federal state and local payroll regulations.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions
This position typically works in an office environment with standard working hours.
However occasional overtime may be required during peak payroll periods.
