Description
The HR Intern will support day-to-day Human Resources operations including recruiting onboarding employee engagement HR administration and compliance. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate who is eager to gain hands-on experience in Human Resources within a professional environment. The HR Intern will learn about HR best practices employment law basics employee relations HR systems and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with full-cycle recruiting including posting job ads screening resumes scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates
- Support the onboarding process for new hires including preparation of employee files orientation materials and training schedules
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HRIS and personnel files
- Assist with benefits administration and responding to employee inquiries
- Help coordinate employee engagement initiatives and events
- Support HR compliance efforts including documentation and audits
- Prepare HR reports metrics and presentations as needed
- Participate in HR projects related to performance management policy updates training and process improvement
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team
Requirements
Education:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field
- 2.5 GPA or higher
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- High attention to detail and confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with HR concepts or HRIS systems is a plus
