The Vice President of Operations for Automation & Motion Control (AMC) is a key leader responsible for driving operational excellence across our $1.7B global segment comprised of 8000 associates.

Reporting to the EVP & President of the AMC Segment the Vice President Operations will provide operations & continuous improvement leadership for the AMC Manufacturing footprint comprised of 35 plants located across North America Europe & Asia. This leader will bring a strong execution mindset as well as serve as a key member of the segment leadership team.

This leader will drive & amplify operational excellence across our 6 AMC divisions; driving discipline of SQDC (safety quality delivery cost-competitiveness) to allow the segment to grow top-line revenue growth and bottom-line profitability.

This individual needs to be a strong influencer with experience working seamlessly across decentralized organizations. The divisional operations & RBS leaders report directly to the VP/GMs & indirectly to this critical leadership role.

This role is strongly preferred in Rosemont IL or Milwaukee WI. We are open to a remote US location if the optimal candidate has proximity to one of our AMC plants across the United States.

Operational Excellence & Effective Problem Solving

• Lead the Segment operations strategy & team to deliver on Annual Operating Plan (AOP) monthly quarterly and annually.
• Set and achieve short and long-term SQDCG and financial objectives by implementing a strategic vision that is broken into actionable strategies and tactics.
• Ensures accountability and enables the predictability of the outcomes of our operations.
• Determine root cause of delivery quality or other issues quickly and effectively put countermeasures in place to support.
• Lead and drive the Regal Rexnord Business System which includes 80/20 and Continuous Improvement for the Segment. Skilled and experienced in decomposing a strategic vision into actionable strategies and tactics that can be cascaded to every manufacturing facility.
• Drive a CI mindset with clear future factory visions to significantly improve productivity and efficiency across all plants and drive employee engagement.
• Model and communication a clear vision & expectation of strong plant floor visual and daily management GEMBA culture problem solving methodologies and lean flow.
• Develops controls and critically reviews results of operation in reference to planned objectives.

P&L Leadership - Strategic Partner

• Ability to work as a member of the leadership team to develop and communicate a future vision for the business.
• Partners with Segment President and leadership team on the overall strategy of the business supports the establishment of an X-matrix and drives policy deployment initiatives aligned to operations with urgency and a high say/do.
• Responsible for synthesizing action plans timelines and budgets for project and product goals and adjusting these plans accordingly to effectively respond to changing demands of the business.

Talent Management

• Develop a high-performance team by engaging coaching and developing team members and by driving accountability and ownership at all levels.
• Build a team where all site leaders are top talent with a strong say/do and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Serve as an advocate for our top talent building strong succession plans to enable increased velocity be a champion of promoting diversity and inclusion in and across the organization.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors degree from an Accredited University
• 15 years manufacturing operations experience; including plant management with experience from a best-in-class manufacturer including multi-site and international exposure
• 10 years leadership experience positions within Continuous Improvement and/or Operations
• Experience in plant turnarounds and footprint consolidations
• Proven successful applications of multiple CI tools: 80/20 Value Stream Mapping 6S Flow Standard Work Visual Management & Problem Solving
• Strong operational and financial acumen executive presence and the ability to lead multiple locations
• Critical thinking skills to properly identify problem areas & potential solutions

• Must be able to travel at least 50% of the time domestically and internationally as required

Expected Base Salary Range: $250000-$275000
The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the companys base paycompensation for this position. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors including but notlimited to the physical worksite location the geographic market of that location candidatesskill set level of experience education and internal peer compensation comparisons amongother potential factors.
