Please note: This is a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave

This role will require travel to Elmsall twice a month

Infrastructure & Cloud Services are at the forefront of everything from Cloud to Networking Data Centres to virtual servers/servers (Windows and Linux) as well as desktops Licensing and mobile phones! Every piece of infrastructure at Head office in the stores the warehouses for the website or the contact centre are supported by this area. Central services such as Microsoft Azure GSuite and GCP file services Citrix Active Directory (and much more) are all provided and supported by this area.

As an Infrastructure and Cloud Manager you will be the central point of contact for all DevOps resource requirements within the Warehouse Technology domain. You will oversee all aspects of project delivery from a DevOps perspective including requirements gathering planning and delivery while also managing stakeholder updates and project budgets.

A key part of your role will be planning and prioritising the teams workload using an agile approach with Azure DevOps. You will collaborate effectively with technical stakeholders such as Architects and I&C teams to implement best practices and work closely with other IT teams to resolve cross-system issues.

You will also be responsible for coaching and mentoring engineers on the team providing guidance on career progression and helping them adopt frameworks like Scrum and Kanban.

About you:

To succeed in this role you will need a proven track record of project delivery adaptability and great leadership skills. We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of cloud concepts and experience overseeing work related to a major cloud provider ideally Microsoft Azure.

You should be a problem solver with strong analytical skills able to identify issues and drive resolutions. As a leader you will be expected to mentor and motivate your team fostering a positive and productive environment.

Essential criteria for this role includes:

  • Great leadership skills and a proven track record of project delivery and adaptability.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage team workload prioritise tasks and ensure timely delivery on commitments.
  • Experience with coaching mentoring and developing team members.
  • Understanding of cloud concepts and experience overseeing work related to a major cloud provider ideally Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to interpret and explain technical issues to non-technical people.
  • Knowledge of DevOps principles.
  • Proven ability to oversee technical tasks ensure adherence to standards and drive resolution of technical issues.
  • Excellent communication collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with budget planning and management.
  • Commercially aware with capability to understand business issues and key events.
