Job Summary

Overview

The Charge Review Specialist Lead provides leadership for OR/Anesthesia billing charge capture data entry in addition to daily and end of month requirements. This position is responsible for generating billing reports maintaining workflow efficiency and overseeing bank deposits and cash flow. Provides training for staff to ensure procedures are followed per Cone Health policies and guidelines

Responsibilities

Acts as the primary resource for charge review specialists and vendor concerns regarding billing purchase orders and promptly addresses issues.
Monitors charge reconciliation against source documents in order to ensure that charges have been captured completely and accurately.
Monitors compliance with internal standards and procedures and reports non-compliance issues to proper authority.
Monitors work queue volumes daily and responds promptly to effectively manage workloads prevent backlogs and ensure timely processing of billing-related tasks.
Ensures adequate support and training for Charge Review team and assists with work duties to maintain efficiency.
Generates and provides billing reports to leadership.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Required: Associates Degree

EXPERIENCE:

Required: 2 years of healthcare or data entry related charge review
