We are looking for a skilled SAP Authorization and User Management Consultant to design implement and maintain secure access controls across SAP systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SAP user administration role design authorization concepts and security audits within ECC S/4HANA or other SAP environments.
This role ensures that users have the right access at the right time supporting both security and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Create modify and manage SAP user accounts across multiple systems
- Design and maintain roles and authorization objects using SAP standard tools
- Manage composite and derived roles and ensure segregation of duties (SoD) compliance.
- Support periodic access reviews and user provisioning processes.
- Develop and implement authorization concepts for projects rollouts and system upgrades.
- Work with functional and technical teams to define secure access for different business processes (FI MM SD PP etc.).
- Ensure compliance with internal controls audit requirements and corporate security policies.
- Participate in S/4HANA migration projects converting legacy roles to HANA-compatible design.
- Analyze and resolve user access or authorization issues.
- Conduct regular system audits to identify and mitigate risks.
- Use standard transaction codes for issue analysis and troubleshooting.
- Monitor system logs and security alerts for unauthorized access attempts.
- Work closely with the SAP Basis Functional and Audit teams to maintain system security and integrity.
- Document security procedures role definitions and access control policies.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to users and support staff.
Qualifications :
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field.
- 38 years of experience in SAP security authorizations and user administration.
- Strong knowledge of SAP authorization concepts (single/composite roles authorization objects profiles).
- Proficiency with tools such as PFCG SU01 SUIM SU53 ST01 and RSECADMIN (for BW security).
- Knowledge of audit and compliance tools for SAP.
- Understanding of SoD (Segregation of Duties) and compliance frameworks (e.g. GRC SOX).
- Experience with SAP GRC Access Control is a plus.
- Knowledge of SAP Basis and identity management processes is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Sivis application is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to risk mitigation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with IT business and audit teams.
