Job Summary
Social Worker / Senior / Advanced Safeguarding Team
Location: Swindon Salary:(dependent on experience) Contract: Permanent Full Time
Are you a skilled and passionate Social Worker with a strong background in safeguarding and frontline practice Were looking for a dedicated professional to join our Safeguarding Team in Swindon where youll play a vital role in protecting vulnerable children and supporting families through high-quality child-centred social work.
What Youll Do:
Manage complex caseloads across Child in Need (CIN) Child Protection (CP) and Looked After Children (LAC) pathways.
Deliver timely assessments care plans and interventions that promote safety wellbeing and positive outcomes.
Work collaboratively with families health professionals education providers and partner agencies.
Chair CIN and core group meetings contribute to court proceedings and lead multi-agency safeguarding processes.
Mentor and supervise ASYE and student social workers supporting reflective practice and professional growth.
What Youll Bring:
Social Work England registration and post-qualified experience in safeguarding.
Confidence in managing high-risk cases and navigating statutory frameworks.
Strong communication and teamwork skills with a child-focused approach.
Proficiency in case management systems (Liquidlogic Mosaic CareFirst ICS) and Microsoft Office.
Additional training in contextual safeguarding trauma-informed practice domestic abuse and working with asylum-seeking families.
