The role of the Operations Manager will entail in assisting with the scheduling of HGV Tankering and Jetting units covering both reactive and planned role suits someone looking for a combination of office related administrative tasks planning ahead and being able to problem solve reactively.
Job Description
- Optimising preparing and scheduling the preventive planned and remedial maintenance.
- You will schedule work orders in accordance with SLAs whilst optimising travel routes and increasing productivity.
- Ensuring the vehicle maintenance scheduler is kept up to date for vehicles to be booked into the garage to ensure conformity
- 1 weekly site visit to ensure safety is being upheld on sites
- Completing the engineers on call rota
- Working closely with the engineers to identify and rectify issues whilst improving the effectiveness of the operations department.
- Maintaining high standards within Health Safety & Environment Housekeeping Performance Waste Communication and Continuous Improvement.
- Effectively supporting the operations team to meet output requirements in quality expectations cost management and the delivery of key objectives and operational performance targets.
- Managing and coordinating the promoted workload according to defined priorities estimating resource and duration requirements in line with agreed metrics.
- Participate and supporting scheduled meetings.
Working Hours 0730-1700 (On Call Rota Phone Only)
Applicants should possess:
- Experience of working within a fast paced environment would be advantageous
- Akeen willingness for progression
- Ability to make decisions in a time pressured environment.
- Competent skills in Microsoft Office particularly Excel.
- Strong communication skills
