As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) youll lead quality efforts on a high-performing agile development team for nCinos Portfolio Analytics application. Building automated tests and testing frameworks will be central to your rolecontinuously verifying core functionality and accelerating the deployment of new code while ensuring development work meets quality standards and is production-ready.

Your expertise will be critical as a senior-level SDET. Shaping quality strategies and standards guiding technical decisions around testing architecture and tooling and providing mentorship to junior SDETs are all key responsibilities. Through hands-on collaboration youll ensure the team learns and follows best practices for creating robust maintainable testing infrastructure.

This role offers the opportunity to build emerging testing capabilities within nCinos established platform working at the intersection of startup energy and enterprise stability with modern technologies and AWS infrastructure. Make foundational contributions to an innovative fintech offering while combining technical excellence with mentorship in a high-impact environment.

Responsibilities:

Learn the nCino platform and Portfolio Analytics application
Participate fully as a member of the automated testing Scrum development team
Independently complete complex coding tasks as part of two-week sprint cycles in order to create maintain and enhance automated tests and the automated testing framework
Create and configure test environments where automated tests will run
Execute automated tests analyze the results and report defects
Provide careful code reviews
Follow code standards and adhere to the established development process
Participate in team Scrum events (including backlog grooming stand ups planning reviews and retrospectives) and ensure that requirements are met
Review test cases and scenarios with QA Engineers to ensure automated tests are covering accurate requirements
Identify opportunities to improve the automated testing framework and process
Leverage AI tools and techniques to enhance software development activities including code generation testing debugging and optimization.
Apply AI insights to identify patterns automate repetitive tasks and improve overall development efficiency and product quality.
Evaluate and integrate AI/ML capabilities where appropriate to strengthen product functionality and user experience.
Maintain awareness of emerging AI trends and best practices to inform continuous learning and innovation.

Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent related experience
4 years experience or combination experience education & superior performance
Strong understanding of OOP concepts and proficiency in at least one of the following languages: TypeScript (preferred) Java (preferred) C# C Ruby Python
Motivated worker with the ability to be productive in a fast-paced team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
Proven ability to handle various tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision

Desired:

Experience using test automation frameworks particularly Playwright and Selenium
Experience building or maintaining deployment pipelines
Experience using AWS stack
Agile software development experience

The pay range for this role is based on relative market data and alignment with our compensation philosophy.
