Job Description
We are looking for Snowflake Data Engineer.This position willbefull-timeand onsite Gurugram.
What Youll Do
- Design develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines in Snowflake for data ingestion transformation and loading.
- Build and maintain CDC (Change Data Capture) pipelines to support incremental data updates and real-time data synchronization.
- Develop and maintain data marts to support Spotfire dashboards and other analytical workloads.
- Integrate and migrate data from Oracle and PostgreSQL databases into Snowflake.
- Write review and optimize complex SQL PL/SQL and PostgreSQL queries for data analysis and transformation.
- Collaborate with BI developers and business users to understand reporting requirements and deliver efficient data structures.
- Implement best practices for data modeling query performance tuning and warehouse optimization in Snowflake.
- Manage Snowflake environments including warehouses user roles security and cost optimization.
- Ensure data quality accuracy and consistency across all systems and pipelines.
- Work closely with data governance and operations teams to maintain compliance and metadata integrity.
What Youll Need
Required:
- Bachelors or masters degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in data engineering or data warehousing roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake including schema design Snowpipe Streams Tasks and CDC pipelines.
- Solid working experience with Oracle (PL/SQL) and PostgreSQL including query writing tuning and data extraction.
- Advanced SQL skills for building debugging and optimizing complex queries.
- Experience designing data marts and preparing data models for Spotfire or other BI tools.
- Scripting knowledge in Python for automation and data processing.
- Understanding of cloud environments (AWS Azure).
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
- Experience with Spotfire data integration and dashboard optimization.
- Exposure to real-time/streaming data frameworks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data workflows.
- Knowledge of data governance lineage and metadata management.
Physical Demands
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationery most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings etc.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer utilizing a mouse keyboard and monitor.
