Job Title: Software Engineer - Automation Frameworks

Location: Hyderabad

Role Overview

This role focuses on software engineering work to design and build tools and frameworks for automation. The position sits within the Fan Experience team which is responsible for delivering a consistent and streamlined experience across multiple platforms. The role is aligned to SDET-type responsibilities with an emphasis on engineering and framework development rather than quality assurance or test execution.

Responsibilities

Design develop and maintain automation tools and frameworks from the ground up.
Write clean maintainable and scalable code using TypeScript and JavaScript.
Contribute to improving platform consistency and reliability across user-facing systems.
Apply data structures and algorithms to solve engineering problems.
Collaborate with software engineers and platform teams to integrate automation solutions into development workflows.
Review code and provide input on engineering best practices related to automation and tooling.

Requirements

5 - 8 years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
Proven ability to build frameworks and tools not limited to using existing libraries.
Solid understanding of data structures algorithms and problem-solving techniques.
Understanding of software testing principles.
Exposure to automation concepts and test frameworks.

Required Skills:

8 years experience in QA in which 5 years experience as lead/team lead Successfully championed shift-left testing strategies in 1 or more teams and ensured quality is built in from the earliest stages of development. Team(s) worked with have been able to continue the best practices around quality assurance even without direct QA oversight. Built and lead a QA team leading and coaching the team in areas around designing implementing and optimizing quality processes. These teams have been empowered to drive their own initiatives and have themselves improved quality in a measurable way. Designed or at least significantly contributed to and implemented automated test frameworks from scratch that have measurably improved test efficiency. Driven strategy and change management around quality for large software changes e.g. migrations re-architecture with low impact to end users. Managed vendors by ensuring strong considerations and deliverables spelled out in SOW documents and also by working with them directly to lead their day-to-day activities in alignment with the quality improvements decided on.
