Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Circulation and shelving of returned books
- Knowledgeable guidance in identifying resources for information need regardless of format
- Asst in the promotion of information literacy and other workshops and events conducted by the library.
- Collection development duties and technical processing of books.
- Locker management
- National Library Board membership management
Key selection criteria
- Degree in library science or Polytechnic diploma with appropriate experience
- Two years relevant working experience in a library
- Interest in facilitating learning
- Well-organized detail oriented and responsible/mature
- Skilled in providing high quality customer service
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and PowerPoint
Workings hours are as follows:
Mon to Friday 8.30 am to 6pm
Important: Willing to cover night shift from 1pm to 9pm and Saturdays 9AM to 6PM whenever necessary
