Job Summary

If you are talented motivated and enrolled in a hospitality tourism culinary or hotel and restaurant management program our Spring/Summer student positions are your opportunity to relate your classroom study to the day-to-day operations of Canadas most breathtaking resorts. 

Fairmont Banff Springs is now recruiting for the following student opportunities: 

  • Housekeeping - Room Attendant
  • Second Cook/First Cook
  • Stewarding Attendant (Kitchen Dishwasher)
  • Golf Operations / Turf Care 
  • Food Porter/Busperson
  • Host
  • Front Office Agent 
  • Switchboard Agent

Successful applicants will be matched to available positions based on previous relevant work experience area of studies and the hotels operational requirements. For this opportunity you must be currently enrolled in a Hospitality Tourism Recreation Turf Care Golf Operations or Culinary post graduate program.

Starting Rate: $16.55 per hour - $18.93 per hour this is dependent on the position.

We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months and yearly to three years.

Candidates that are available to start as of May 5th - September 1st 2026 will be prioritized.

Qualifications :

Food & Beverage Positions (Host & Food Porter)
    Must have ProServe certification 
    Previous Food & Beverage experience preferred 

Culinary Division Positions
    Currently enrolled in a culinary program
    Previous experience as a cook an asset 
    Must be able to lift carry and pull up to 50lbs
    Standing and walking throughout shift and exposure to kitchen equipment including large and small ovens stoves steam kettles mixers sheeter fryers rational ovens steamers tilt skillets fridges and freezers as well as blast freezers 

Housekeeping/ Stewarding Division Positions: 
    Previous or similar experience in Housekeeping or Stewarding as asset 
    Must be physically fit and able to stand and walk throughout shift and lift carry and pull up to 50lbs.

Front Office Division Positions 
Must have 1 year of previous experience front office/reservations
Previous Property Manager (Opera Cloud) experience an asset 

Golf Operations / Turf Care Positions: 

Currently enrolled in a Golf Operations /Turf Caremanagement program 
Previous similar experience an asset 
Must be physically fit and able to stand and walk throughout shift and lift carry and pull up to 50lbs.
