Jhpiego seeks a Program Finance Specialist to support the EPI Punjab in managing financial operations strengthening compliance and ensuring effective oversight of program activities.

Responsibilities

Financial Management and Support:

  • Support the EPI finance team in maintaining financial records in line with Government of Punjab standards.
  • Ensure timely verification reconciliation and documentation of financial transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports expenditure summaries and supporting documents.
  • Review payment requests vouchers and financial documents for accuracy and completeness prior to processing.

Audit and Compliance:

  • Review existing audit observations related to EPI Punjabs financial operations.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors to provide clarifications documentation and evidence as required.
  • Support EPI Punjab in preparing formal responses and management action plans to address audit findings.
  • Maintain an updated audit tracking sheet and monitor progress on the implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Strengthen internal control systems and provide recommendations to minimize future audit risks.

Capacity Building and Coordination:

  • Provide on-the-job coaching to EPI finance staff on financial procedures documentation standards and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in relevant financial review meetings and contribute to discussions on audit and compliance improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in finance Accounting Commerce or a related A masters degree will be preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Audit and financial management.
  • Strong understanding of Government of Punjab financial and audit systems.
  • Experience in responding to audit queries and managing compliance issues.
  • Excellent analytical organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
