Year 1 Teacher Responsibilities
The appointed Year 1 Teacher will: plan and deliver systematic phonics and guided reading as the Year 1 Teacher; teach sequenced writing and practical maths alongside well-designed continuous provision as the Year 1 Teacher; use high-quality formative assessment to personalise learning as the Year 1 Teacher; lead small-group interventions and run parent-teacher meetings as the Year 1 Teacher. The Year 1 Teacher will prepare resources before January 2026 attend induction in January 2026 and teach from January 2026 as the Year 1 Teacher.

Year 1 Teacher Requirements & profile
We are seeking a Year 1 Teacher with QTS or equivalent confident KS1 practice and a passion for early literacy. The Year 1 Teacher should be reflective creative and able to build strong partnerships with families. Availability for pre-term planning prior to January 2026 attendance at induction in January 2026 and a Full-Time start from January 2026 as the Year 1 Teacher is essential.
