Job Summary

We are looking for a commercially astute and tech-savvy Business Development Officer with deep knowledge of the BPO market to join our clients team.

Responsibilities:
  • Acquiring new business for the organisation through the various new business strategies set by company.
  • Develop goals for the lead generation process and customer acquisition and ensure they are met.
  • Researching the prospective customer base segment organisations under competition newly established organisations and leads from social media platforms.
  • Pro-actively communicating with the Business Development Manager and thought leadership internally and externally to improve compliance
  • Maintaining a record of all expenses authorised and provide the Business Development Manager with a weekly reconciliation of expenses incurred including a provision for expenses authorised but still outstanding.
  • Reconciling actual outcomes achieved against planned outcomes and establish reasons for any variances both positive and negative.
  • Maintaining a performance record reflecting your performance against expectations a summary of issues identified discussions performance objectives set and agreements reached.
  • Scheduling a Developmental session at least once a month to get support and guidance as well as to monitor review and record progress.
  • Ensuring that all departmental policies processes and procedures are risk compliant and all new or amended processes and procedures have been vetted and signed off by both Finance and Risk Management
  • Continuously scan the environment to come up with initiatives to improve performance and processes in line with the departmental targets and aims
Key Skills:
  • 3 to 6 years experience in a similar field or related environment
  • Proven ability to sell contact centre services AI solutions chatbots and back-office support.
  • Deep understanding of BPO trends and client needs especially in Southern Africa.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based vs. server-based architectures and ability to explain them to clients.
  • Skill in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Ability to tailor service offerings to corporate client pain points.
Qualifications:
  • 6 O levels (Including Maths and English) 2 A levels
  • A Degree Diploma Certificate City & Guilds Apprenticeship qualification
