Job Summary

Summary: Responsibilities will require knowledge of U.S. Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) Export Administration Regulations (EAR) Wassenaar Arrangement Dual-Use List and harmonized tariff schedules.

What you will be doing:

Developing and improving internal processes on classifying products (both hardware and software).
Assigning export control classification numbers (ECCNs) to software technology integrated circuits electronic assemblies and computer systems primarily described in Categories 3 4 and 5 (Parts 1 and 2).
Assigning tariff classifications (HTS and schedule B) to items primarily described in Chapter 84 85 and 90.
Support global shipping transactions and dispositions.
Working with cross-functional teams to improve work efficiency related to classifications.

What we need to see:

Bachelors or advanced degree in engineering or computer science.
5 years of experience in export classification in the high-tech industry.
Expertise in product classification (HS-Code / ECCN).
Understanding of U.S. EAR and other export control regulation jurisdictions.
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word PowerPoint Excel) and SAP.
