Responsible for preparing accurate estimates for high-current distribution boards CT/meter boards and utility switchboards. This includes developing itemized BOMs from single-line diagrams coordinating supplier quotes and creating clear defensible proposals. The role also involves basic feasibility checks and mock layouts for enclosure quoting.

What Youll Do

Build detailed BOMs from SLDs/specifications and manage supplier quote requests
Prepare accurate costings and proposal documents
Perform quick feasibility checks and create basic mock layouts for proof of concept
Track multiple live quotes and maintain organized records of pending supplier responses
Estimating: Excel workbook for pricing Word for detailed proposals PM system for simple bids
Helpful Skills: Familiarity with AutoCAD (not mandatory)
Knowledge: Modular enclosure systems (any brand)

Requirements

What You Bring

Were looking for someone who:

3 years of estimating experience in switchboards with hands-on background in building or designing boards
Strong ability to interpret single-line diagrams and electrical schematics
Familiarity with IEC/AS 61439 standards and industry best practices (Australian experience preferred; international acceptable if 61439-compliant)
Highly organized and proactive capable of managing multiple concurrent quotes

Analyze drawings specifications and project scope to identify cost-saving opportunities and potential risks. Coordinate take-offs and pricing for materials labor and equipment. Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes. Collaborate with project managers designers and operations teams throughout the pre-construction process. Lead bid strategy sessions and provide recommendations to executive leadership. Maintain estimating database and historical cost information. Requirements What You Bring Were looking for someone who: 5 years of estimating experience in landscape construction site development or related field. Strong knowledge of construction methods materials and industry pricing with landscape experience considered an advantage. Proficiency in estimating software is required with experience in Cubit and Buildsoft considered a plus. Ability to read and interpret landscape and civil construction plans. Excellent analytical organizational and communication skills.
