After project award take the preliminary estimation design and produce a complete drawing package for manufacturing release. Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical (2D) is mandatory. The designer should work independently and deliver end-to-end outputs with minimal preparation from others.

What Youll Do

Produce a full drawing set including SLDs schematics GAs BoMs technical and construction notes termination diagrams and instrument loop diagrams ready for manufacturing
Review proposal and award documents; conduct a quick kickoff with estimating to clarify scope
Drive the design package to client approval and hand over to production
Communicate and manage design changes with manufacturing during build

Requirements

What You Bring

Were looking for someone who:

AutoCAD Electrical (must-have): 2D schematics; 3D not required
Manufacturing team can handle minor changes in-house; major variations return to design
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical (2D) and electrical designnot just drafting
Ability to take ownership: Receive project deliver when ready for review
Familiarity with IEC/AS 61439 standards; experience in heavy commercial/industrial projects preferred
Portfolio Requirement: Provide native DWG files (not just PDFs)

What Youll Do Youll be the kind of person who: Prepare detailed estimates and bid proposals for commercial and high-end residential landscape construction projects. Analyze drawings specifications and project scope to identify cost-saving opportunities and potential risks. Coordinate take-offs and pricing for materials labor and equipment. Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes. Collaborate with project managers designers and operations teams throughout the pre-construction process. Lead bid strategy sessions and provide recommendations to executive leadership. Maintain estimating database and historical cost information. Requirements What You Bring Were looking for someone who: 5 years of estimating experience in landscape construction site development or related field. Strong knowledge of construction methods materials and industry pricing with landscape experience considered an advantage. Proficiency in estimating software is required with experience in Cubit and Buildsoft considered a plus. Ability to read and interpret landscape and civil construction plans. Excellent analytical organizational and communication skills.
