Summary

Create and review logistics documentation and data to support contractual requirements as assigned. Requires a working knowledge of a system approach for provisioning provisioning documentation and logistics support plans. Become familiar with standard operating procedures related to logistics and be capable of implementing them. Requires limited supervision guidance and instruction depending on the complexity of the tasking.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform logistic provisioning and documentation research and analyses providing recommendations and/or deliverable products supporting contractual logistics requirements.

  • Prepare inputs for review and update Maintenance Plans Integrated Logistics Support Plans Logistics Support Analysis Plans/Records and other logistic related documentation (provisioning and technical support packages).

  • Create standard operating procedures and work instructions related to assigned duties.

  • Interface with Logistics Manager Program Managers Project Engineers and other design/system engineers.

  • Assist senior logisticians in performing complex logistics efforts such as data collection of reliability and/or maintainability information; researching the Bill of Materials and site requisitions for specific information and vendor recommendations and NSN searches using automated tools.

  • Monitor procurement processes / activities to ensure expeditious processing of material

  • Track material through procurement process from program request through delivery to site

  • Develop and maintain lists of spare usage and associated costs and identify trends to Program Managers

  • Receive training/guidance related to unfamiliar logistics areas with the intent to further increase skill level to broaden experience base and receive less supervision in tasking.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • BS/BA/BT degree or equivalent experience.

  • Prefer 3-5 years of applicable logistics experience in an integrated logistics environment.

  • Simulator experience is considered a plus.

  • Prefer military and/or commercial logistics technical experience and/or training

  • PC literacy is required (MS Office Suite minimum of Excel Word and Access).

  • Adaptive to working in an integrated product team environment.

  • Must be willing to work any shift or day of the week as required

Language Skills

  • Possess average written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to read analyzes and interprets logistics data/documentation technical procedures.

  • Ability to write reports and procedures.

  • Ability to present information asks questions and responds to questions from managers and customers.

  • Must have the ability to read analyze and interpret complex documents. Will be required to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints. Must be able to generate effective oral and written presentations and proposals.

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

  • Must be able to calculate figures and amounts prices commissions and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Security Responsibilities

Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials in any form. Shall not divulge any information or afford access to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Due to U.S. Government contract requirements only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Work Environment

Work is performed in an environment where irritants such as noise from telephones temperature and lighting variations may exist but there is little chance of injury accident or occupational health problems.

  • Ability to operate a personal computer. Communicate via e-mail /telephone. Occasional business travels both nationally and international.
