Title: Legal Counsel

Location: Shanghai

Reporting Line: VP Associate General Counsel APAC

This role will include providing the following legal services to the Groups business in Greater China.

Responsibilities:

Contract Review & Legal Advisory:

• Reviewing and processing a variety of commercial contracts including but not limited to retail marketing operation leasing & construction admin training etc.

• Ad hoc legal consultancy to business stakeholders on legal issues in daily business operation.

IP Protection:

• IP infringements web monitoring data analysis & strategic planning.

• IP enforcements (civil and criminal) by leveraging service providers.

• Managing IP budget interns and vendors.

Requirements:

Bachelor or Master of Law degree PRC bar admission. Foreign law education or bar qualification is a plus.

6-8 years of post-qualification legal experience from reputable MNCs in-house team or international/PRC firm experience in retail sector is preferred.

Excellent legal skills (drafting negotiating and analytical).

Strong business acumen ability to analyse complex legal problems and develop suitable solutions.

Strong work ethic positive attitude and highest integrity.

Ability to balance multiple deadlines and priorities.

Ability to work within a global matrix environment.

Experience in handling litigation and employment matters will be a plus.
