We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Manager for Marketing & Communications to lead high-impact initiatives that drive Deloittes brand and eminence in Malaysia. This role will be pivotal in shaping internal and external communication strategies to support Deloittes strategic priorities and enhance the firms market position.
As a senior leader within the Growth team you will collaborate with business leaders central teams and cross-functional groups to develop and execute communication programs that align with business goals and elevate Deloittes reputation in the market.
Work youll do:
In this leadership role you will oversee the Marketing & Communications team managing both internal and external initiatives. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Communications Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive communications strategies that align with Deloittes strategic priorities and reflect leadership direction. These efforts will drive brand excellence internally and externally ensuring consistency in all messaging across the firm.
- Internal & External Communication: Lead the development of internal communications strategies to engage Deloitte employees and keep them aligned with the firms priorities. Additionally you will manage external communications focusing on client branding and building Deloittes market reputation.
- Brand & Eminence Initiatives: Work with business leaders across the firm to plan deliver and manage client eminence events and strategic programs aimed at enhancing Deloittes brand presence in the market. This includes collaborating on branding initiatives with industry and business function leaders to ensure consistency and alignment with business objectives.
- Market Research & Insights: Conduct ongoing market research to keep business leaders informed of current trends and predict future developments. Use insights to inform strategic communications decisions and provide recommendations on emerging opportunities.
- Sponsorships & Strategic Partnerships: Manage and oversee strategic sponsorships and partnerships as well as firm-wide engagement programs like the SEA CFO Program SEA CCG Program Deloitte Private and Best Managed Companies Program. You will also be expected to develop and implement new relevant programs to further elevate Deloittes market presence.
- Thought Leadership & Profile Building: Create and develop opportunities to position Deloittes leaders as thought leaders in key strategic areas. This will include producing Deloittes Point of View and Hot Topics content and identifying opportunities to profile Deloitte in relevant industry discussions and events.
- Marketing & Campaigns: Lead the development and execution of marketing campaigns across print broadcast and online platforms. Guide the creation and management of marketing materials (brochures invitations reports publications) and promotional materials to ensure consistency with Deloittes brand and messaging.
- Intranet & Digital Strategy: Oversee and manage the Deloitte Malaysia intranet and digital communications platforms ensuring they reflect updated and relevant content. You will also have input on Malaysias website (managed by SEA) and social media platforms to maintain alignment with brand standards and marketing goals.
- Event & Program Management: Take full responsibility for event and program management including budget oversight creative direction vendor management and ensuring compliance with Deloittes brand identity and communication standards. This will include end-to-end project management to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
- Impact Measurement & Reporting: Collaborate with the Clients and Industries team to analyze the success of events and marketing campaigns using data and insights to refine strategies and improve the effectiveness of communications initiatives.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor junior members of the Marketing & Communications team providing strategic guidance and ensuring high-quality work across all initiatives. You will be responsible for fostering their professional development and empowering them to excel in their roles.
- Speechwriting & Presentation Support: Prepare speeches and presentation materials for senior leadership including the CEO ensuring consistent and compelling messaging that aligns with the firms strategic direction.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Proven Experience: Extensive experience in corporate communications marketing or branding with a proven ability to plan and execute strategic communications and branding initiatives. Experience in managing sponsorships events and external client engagement programs is essential. Familiarity with digital communications and change management is advantageous.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: A strong command of the English language with exceptional writing editing and storytelling abilities. Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and persuasive manner across a variety of communication channels.
- Strategic Leadership & Influence: Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage senior leaders. Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive brand-building initiatives.
- Event & Program Management Expertise: Extensive experience in managing large events and firm-wide programs including budget oversight creative process management and ensuring brand compliance. A hands-on approach to project management is essential.
- Brand & Marketing Expertise: Expertise in managing brand identity market positioning and external client-facing communication strategies. Proven ability to safeguard Deloittes brand integrity and ensure compliance with global PR and communication protocols.
- Analytical & Detail-Oriented: Ability to measure and analyze the success of communications programs and use data to refine strategies. Strong attention to detail is essential for managing multiple projects and ensuring quality execution.
- Leadership & Mentoring: Experience in leading and mentoring a diverse team providing guidance and ensuring the execution of high-quality work. Ability to create a positive and productive team environment.
Additional Skills (Preferred)
- Experience working in or with a professional services firm particularly in marketing communications or branding roles.
- Familiarity with digital tools and platforms for content management and analytics.
